In this session participants will learn a way in which Falling in Love with Close Reading and Notice and Note can be paired together to allow for students to know both WHEN and HOW to close read a text for deeper meaning. Participants will practice these skills in a collaborative setting and share with one another their own beliefs on and practices with close reading in the classroom. The ultimate goal of this session is to help teachers know how to get out of their students way without losing the high-level of rigor the CCSS demands.
