Creating Courses and Classes in iTunes U - Room: 206
iTunes U courses let teachers give each class a customized learning experience. Teachers can create and manage their course and students can experience it all from the iTunes U app on iPad. Relevant lessons.  With iTunes U courses, you can add to and update your course at anytime so your lessons stay relevant. And automatic push notifications get sent through the app to keep students informed of changes and updates.  Anytime access. The iTunes U app lets students enroll in a course and download all of the materials they need when they are connected to Wi-Fi — which means learning and studying can happen anywhere, at anytime with just an iPad.

Digital Writing and Social Curation - Room: 214
Limited Capacity seats available

Learning is a social process that teachers facilitate with various tools. With so many digital tools to consider, how can we be intentional about which ones we choose? In this session, we will first work with graphic organizers and consider how their design "makes easy" the hard work of writing and idea-creation. Then, we'll shift the conversation to online curation spaces - Pearltrees, Google Plus, and others - to think about how some social platforms "make easy" ongoing curation and low-risk writing.
